Raids, criminal cases, accusations of terrorism: freedom of the press takes a nose dive

Freedom of the press took a significant plunge this past week with a laundry list of attacks which included a raid on Nokta magazine, a lawsuit opened against Doğan Media Holding, access to Cumhuriyet daily's website blocked by Internet providers and several journalists having to appear before a court to defend themselves.
