CIA, White House owe US people proof of Russian role in US election – whistleblower John Kiriakou

The US unveiled the new sanctions after the release of a joint FBI and Homeland Security report

However, the joint report put together by the Department of National Security and the FBI contains a disclaimer. It says the information in the document cannot be confirmed, and is for informational purposes only.

John Kiriakou, a former CIA agent, turned whistleblower, says Washington must present solid proof or admit the allegations are politically motivated.

Aleppo residents celebrate as Syrian army declares city fully cleared of militants

Scenes of jubilation on the streets of Aleppo; the residents of the Syrian city celebrate its full liberation following the evacuation of the last batch of militants from Aleppo’s east.

The Syrian army has described Aleppo liberation as a strategic shift in the war on terror. The last convoy, carrying militants and their families, left eastern Aleppo earlier on Thursday.

The United Nations says more than 34-thousand people, including four-thousand militants, have left the area since mid December. Anti-Damascus militants seized Aleppo’s eastern side back in 2012. Read more.

Riyadh waiting for US smart bombs: Saudi FM

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir has denied reports that the US has decided to limit military support to the Arab kingdom

Speaking alongside visiting US secretary of State John Kerry in Riyadh, Jubeir rejected earlier reports that Washington decided to halt the supply of some precision-guided munitions. Kerry, for his part, said the issue is related more to a long procurement process than restrictions on military support for Riyadh.

Several rights groups have urged Washington to halt weapons sales to Saudi Arabia, saying the US is complicit in civilian deaths in Yemen if it fails to do so. Riyadh has been waging a deadly aerial campaign in Yemen since March 2015. US-made bombs have been responsible for the bulk of the deaths.

IMF: Greece needs no more austerity

The International Monetary Fund says it is against more austerity in Greece and rather seeks to call for a modern welfare system in the debt-hit eurozone country

Two senior IMF officials rejected claims that the fund was seeking to force more austerity drive in Greece. The head of the European Department Poul Thomsen and chief economist Maury Obstfeld wrote in an article that the IMF had advised Greece not to increase its budget surplus.

They wrote that the Greek government’s further spending cuts were contrary to IMF’s suggestion. The officials added that Greece’s move was in line with European institutions as well as to ensure that its surplus would reach three- and half percent of GDPin 2018.

The article appears as the IMF and the eurozone are struggling to find common ground on the third bailout. The IMF had played a major role in two previous rescue packages for Greece.

The Russian foreign minister has expressed suspicion that the seizure of the Syrian city of Palmyra by Daesh might have been staged. Sergei Lavrov says Daesh terrorists’ advance to the ancient desert city may have been engineered by the U-S and its regional allies to divert attention from Aleppo.

Lavrov says the fall of Palmyra raises the thought that it has been all orchestrated to give retreating militants in Aleppo a break. The takfiri terrorist group recaptured Palmyra over the weekend, months after it was forced out of the city. Russia has already blamed the loss on the United States.

History and Benefits of Yerba Mate

A Brief History of Geoengineering

Climatologists have confirmed it is now too late to avoid certain global warming and that a shift to a low or zero carbon economy is thus vital. This implies an urgent transition to renewable energy sources as well as radical adaptive measures, which collide against established industrial monopolies. This episode gathers several geoengineering patent applications, and through these documents presents the history of these emerging technologies and the private interests, actors, think tanks, and corporations behind them.

Within the debate of climate change mitigation, geoengineering—the technological management of weather patterns and carbon capture processes—occupies an especially politicized place. It has slowly entered climate change discussions, including those of held by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. While the legitimate use of such technologies and their regulation remains unaddressed by the U.N., a rush to patent these technologies is underway.

Greece refuses to extend austerity program beyond 2018

Greek government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos said austerity measures have been socially catastrophic and economically inefficient.

The comments come a day after Eurozone finance ministers approved some short-term debt relief for Greece. However, they failed to sign a second review of Greece's bailout program.

The review is part of an agreement between Greece and its international creditors, which requires Athens to carry out reforms in labor and fiscal sectors in return for receiving funds. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras took office in January 20-15 on the promise of ending painful spending cuts under the controversial bailout program.

However, he later bowed to pressure from the E-U and the I-M-F and accepted deeper reforms.

The Western War On Truth

Paul Craig Roberts - The “war on terror” has simultaneously been a war on truth. For fifteen years—from 9/11 to Saddam Hussein’s “weapons of mass destruction” and “al Qaeda connections,” “Iranian nukes,” “Assad’s use of chemical weapons,” endless lies about Gadaffi, “Russian invasion of Ukraine”—the governments of the so-called Western democracies have found it essential to align themselves firmly with lies in order to pursue their agendas. Now these Western governments are attempting to discredit the truthtellers who challenge their lies.

Russian news services are under attack from the EU and Western presstitutes as purveyors of “fake news.” Abiding by its Washington master’s orders, the EU actually passed a resolution against Russian media for not following Washington’s line. Russian President Putin said that the resolution is a “visible sign of degradation of Western society’s idea of democracy.” Read more.

But Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani said the wealthy Gulf state would not "go solo" and supply shoulder-fired missiles to the rebels to defend themselves against Syrian and Russian warplanes. Read more.

Basque country to seek more autonomy from Spain

Inigo Urkullu made the remarks while addressing the regional parliament as he was sworn in for a second four-year term. He said he planned to reach a future pact with the Spanish government to recognize his demands for independence.

Urkullu’s center-right party, P-N-V, won a regional election in September. The Basque Country is an autonomous region, with powers to raise its own taxes and to control policy areas ranging from education to health and jobs.

But the region is seeking to be recognized as a nation in the Spanish constitution, which would give it the right to decide to remain part of Spain or break away. Most of Spain's main parties oppose the independence drive.

The Iran-Russia-China Strategic Triangle

F. William Engdahl - The developing economic, political and military links binding Iran, China and Russia in what I see as an emerging Golden Triangle in Eurasia, are continuing to deepen insignificant areas. This, while it seems to be US geopolitical strategy in a prospective Trump Administration to distance Washington from both Iran and from China, while dangling the carrot of lessened confrontation between Washington and Moscow–classic Halford Mackinder or Kissinger geopolitics of avoiding a two-front war that was colossally backfiring on Washington by trying to shift the power balance. At present, the dynamic of the past several years of closer cooperation by the three pivotal states of the Eurasian Heartland is gaining strategic momentum. The latest is the visit of China’s Minister of Defense and of Russian senior officials to Teheran.

On November 14-15 in Teheran, during a high-level visit of the Chinese Defense Minister, General Chang Wanquan, with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan, the two major Eurasian nations signed a deal to enhance military cooperation. Read more.

Trump Is An Inside Job

Statists are always gonna state and absolute power always corrupts absolutely. Trump is merely the right’s version of Obama.

If you really thought the left-right paradigm was abandoned, that the powers-that-be would let an actual outsider not only run for president but win… well, I suggest you spend more time researching the new world order and less time voting for some power-hungry individual who claims to make everything great again. - Dan Dicks.
