Deal or No Deal: Fears rise Trump to ditch Iran nuclear deal in new strategy

Donald Trump's expected to announce a new strategy on Iran this Friday, and all bets are on the President ripping up the 'historic' nuclear deal.

The deal was hammered out by the US, Russia, France, the UK, China, Germany and Iran back in 2015. It followed nine years of talks. Political scientist, Kaveh Afrasiabi, believes the nuclear deal was always at risk because Trump doesn't understand Iran as a country.

Political Support Growing to Wipe Out Puerto Rico’s Wall Street Debt

President Donald Trump, Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, and Illinois Democratic Rep. Luis Gutiérrez are all on the same page when it comes to how to handle Puerto Rico’s crushing debt load in the wake of Hurricane Maria: The hedge funds need to take the hit.

“They owe a lot of money to your friends on Wall Street, and we’re going to have to wipe that out,” Trump said on Fox News this week. “You can say goodbye to that. I don’t know if it’s Goldman Sachs, but whoever it is, you can wave goodbye to that.” Read more.

Han Boering on I Ching, Freedom, Joy and Resonance

click CC for English subtitles

Han Boering, author of "I Ching for the 21st Century" (written in Dutch) passed away on June 10th, 2015. He was a very wise man, but also very modest. An inhexaustible source with his vision on life.

I made this interview with him on February 25th, 2011. This was within the context of my documentary "Freedom". But I never published the full interview. His passing is the reason to share it here.

Russian FM slams US “double standards” in Syria

The Russian foreign minister accuses the United States and its allies of fatal provocations against the Russian troops in Syria.

In an interview with the UK-based Asharq al-Awsat newspaper, Sergei Lavrov said the US-led coalition and the militants they support consistently act in a way that helps Daesh and other terrorist groups.

Lavrov criticized Washington’s double standards regarding Syria, noting that there were no such thing as good or bad terrorists. He defended Russia’s involvement in the battle against terrorists in Syria. He also hailed the cooperation between Moscow, Ankara and Tehran as a decisive factor in restoring stability in the region.

Lavrov slammed the US sanctions against Russia, warning that such aggressive measures won’t go unanswered.
