UN Rebukes Israel over Latest Laws Against Palestinians

The U.N. political affairs chief condemned Israel for authorizing the force-feeding of Palestinian prisoners and sentencing stone throwers to 20-years in prison.

The recent introduction of controversial laws by Israel, including the 20-year sentence for stone throwers and the authorization of force-feeding Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike, would worsen an "already-precarious human rights situation," the United nations warned Wednesday. Read more.
