Clashes erupt between police and anti-Temer protesters in Brazil

Police officers and protesters clashed after activists broke through the barriers at an underground station in Sao Paulo on Friday. At the same time, crowds were marching through the streets, chanting, and demanding the education reform plan, introduced by President Michael Temer, be scrapped.

The proposed education model abolishes the majority of mandatory subjects in secondary schools, and instead allows students to focus on the areas they are more interested in. It also increases the hours students spend in school from 800 to 1,400. More video.
