Total Loss: US spent half a billion in taxpayer dollars in Afghanistan in 16yrs, goals not achieved

The longest war in US history shows no sign of ending. The US special inspector general for Afghanistan admitted that a defense department program, costing taxpayers almost half a billion dollars, failed to achieve its goals.
